We’ve Moved!
We're excited to have moved into a larger building on September 8th! Our new location is 2565 N. Genesee St. in Delafield, just a mile up the road from our most recent building in downtown Delafield. The change comes after a season of sustained growth at the downtown Delafield location. If you've visited recently, you know that we are bursting at the seams, so we’re excited to be able to expand.
Our new facility offers a larger main worship area, meeting rooms, a nursery, and ample parking, all on five acres of land. We give thanks to God for this blessing and are eager to put it to use to worship Him and share His love with Lake Country, Waukesha County, and beyond. Here are a few things we have planned for the Fall:
Sunday School for all ages with two adult classes for Fall quarter, one on the Anglican Catechism and one on the Sacraments.
Morning prayer (with Bible studies following) on Tuesday at 8am and Thursday at 10am.
Evening prayer with study of the Holy Spirit on Monday nights at 7pm.
Wednesday evening prayer and dinner at 6:30pm every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Youth group every Wednesday night at 6pm.
Get more specifics on our Calendar.
We are sad to leave our downtown Delafield building which has served us well for the past two years, but are excited for what God has in store for us.
Below is a little bit more about our history. Or learn more about our story and our name.
Our History
In 2009, a small group of people began to meet regularly for prayer in response to a need for a gospel-centered Anglican church in the Waukesha County area. After a season of discernment, St. Michael’s Anglican Church was launched on April 18, 2010. Some of the first services were held on the campus of Nashotah House Theological Seminary, aided and supported by Dean Robert Munday and many others.
In 2011 Fr. Thad Butcher accepted the call to become the first Rector of St. Michael’s, and helped shepherd the parish through incorporation into the Anglican Church in North America and the Diocese of the Upper Midwest, and move to a new worship space at Lake Country School.
Fr. Phil Anderas served as Rector in 2015-2016, and in 2017 St. Michael’s purchased a new church building in downtown Delafield, WI. In 2018, Eric Snyder accepted the call to serve as Rector of St. Michael’s.
