Do Not Be Afraid

“I've been feeling increasingly anxious as the situation with coronavirus deteriorates around us. I read the news about the healthcare system getting overwhelmed, the vaccine, etc. and have been having trouble not feeling overwhelmed myself. Then this week I was listening to an Advent song based on Luke Chapter 2. The angel says to the terrified shepherds, "Do not be afraid." That same morning I happened to turn to Psalm 46 during my morning prayer: God is "a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear." I very clearly felt God comforting me over and over: Do not be afraid.”
