Get Involved
We believe a major part of living your purpose is through serving other Christians in the Church. This strengthens others and is also a wonderful way to receive—to receive community, to receive training, and to receive the blessings that come when we use our gifts to worship the living God. Each one of us has different strengths, and at St. Michael’s we have many different opportunities to get involved putting those passions to work. Explore our ministry teams below.

Greeter / Usher
Ushers greet members and visitors as they arrive, and assist other leaders in a few ways throughout the service. This role is key to making sure that each individual who walks through our doors feels welcomed and wanted.
Music
Strengthen your musical and spiritual gifts by joining our musicians and singers for Sunday worship.
Service Prep
We believe that the physical space we use to worship God matters. Our “altar guild” ensures that all elements used in a service of worship - from the processional cross to the bread and wine of Eucharist - is ready for action.
Scripture Readers
We treasure God's Word, and we treasure the powerful experience of reading, hearing, feeling, and seeing it spoken aloud each week.
Eucharist Minister
Holy Communion is where we are most intimately met by God. While only a priest can bless the bread and wine, we love for all believers to be represented at the Table. Men and women of faith are welcome and encouraged to participate by administering the sacraments to members and visitors.
Prayer Minister
Join our team of trained prayer ministers to pray with individual members and visitors during Communion. Training is available if desired.
Children / Nursery
Join the “Anglikids” team to teach, befriend, and learn with our children. There are opportunities to serve in the nursery (ages 0-5) during our Sunday worship service, and with children ages 0 through 12 during the 10:30 hour. Volunteers are screened and provided safety training prior to serving.
Youth Mentors
Mentors meet regularly with middle-school and high-school age youth in small and large groups to provide teaching, mentorship, and guidance to the next generation of God’s people. No prior experience required. Volunteers are screened and provided safety training prior to serving.
Building and Grounds
The Building and Grounds team is a diverse group of people that help keep our church building beautiful and running properly. Some individuals decorate the interior and exterior, others shovel snow and handle minor repairs. Together they are wonderful stewards of the building God has given us.
